CmdTwain 1.06

People must like the width and height option (/WH w.w h.h) because some of you are using it.

That’s how I found out it was only doing squares.

Well, it shouldn’t be limited to squares. You are supposed to be able to tell it to scan rectangles. That’s why it is a “width and height” option.

So, as of CmdTwain version 1.06, it now does what it should and scans the stated width and the stated height – and if that’s a rectangle you get a rectangle.

Feel free to uninstall the old version and download and install the new version. (It also seems to work fine if you just install over the top of the old version.)

If you notice any other issues, let me know.

  1. Hi,

I was just wondering if, transparency units can also be used by CmdTwain? I couldn’t find it yet, but probably there is a unknown mode that makes the transparency option of my scanner accessible.

    Thanks in advance.

    Kind regards,
    Kees

    1. Hi Kees,

There are some unspecified options in CmdTwain but I don’t think any of those would do what you need. Could you send me an email (support at this-site, or via the contact page) with your scanner model?

      All the best,
      Greg
