How to manually install an FSTool Pro license

Introduction

After you receive your license file it needs to be saved with your copy of the program. Here’s how …

UPDATE: This was just too much effort for a really straight forward program.
If you have version 1.02 or later skip this. If not, get the update – it’s much easier.

Save the emailed license file as “License.dat” and then copy it into the same directory as the program. Unless you chose a different location during installation of FSTool Pro, this will be:
C:\Program Files\Gss EziSoft\FSTool Pro

When you next run FSTool Pro, it should no longer have the “Register” option on the menu bar (because it is now registered). The program can now be used for more than the 30 day trial period.

The process is fairly straight forward with Windows XP but Vista and 7 make it harder to save things in the “Program Files” directory. If you are using either of those, you may need to be logged in as an administrator to do the “copy it into …” step.

You must use the license file on the computer on which you registered or it will cause an error message.
